I offer a variety of workshops both en plein air and inside the studio. These can be landscape, seascape, portraiture, life drawing/painting, still life and sketchbook techniques. These can also be tailored to the needs of a particular art group or society.

‘Landscape – Country lane in sunlight’ Workshop in Acrylics with Mark Warner. Sat 9th May 2026
Saturday 9th May 2026, 10am to 4pm
For this workshop we will be looking at a country lane in bright sunlight.
We will examine the layering of acrylic colour within a landscape, while also paying closer attention to the translucency of colour and colour contrast within the composition.
This workshop will explore the results of sunlight on foliage as well as creating distance within a landscape.
We will also see how sketch planning can assist your painting.
Reference image will be provided, materials needed are listed below.

- Sat 18th Oct – Making Waves : Painting Waves Up Close in acrylics - £95 WORKSHOP COMPLETED
In this full day acrylic painting workshop, we will focus purely on the waves examining depth, colour and movement. We will be experimenting with brush strokes and layers of colour and texture. In this full day acrylic painting workshop, we will be exploring how lines of surf, waves and foam can show a sense of movement and depth within your painting.
Once again, we will examine how to harmonise our colour palette while experimenting with brush strokes.
